On the fridge of the wetland on the east side. Meadow Run is about 30 m west and herbaceous communities dominate this part of the wetland with some alder thickets north.;This area is typical of some of the moderately inundated areas where sedges dominate. There are no large pools of water here. Rather the large tufts of Carex stricta creates small pools throughout the plot. Near the edge some huckleberry has established itself in one large patch.
Representativeness
Herbaceous marsh clearly dominated by Carex stricta with about half as much cover by C. atlantica. Homogenous and well represented.
